School is in session!!

First Day of School for Avon Public Schools. It was great to be back into a routine and see all my friends and the students. I cannot lie though, it was hard walking into an emtpy house at 3:30 pm - first time in 25 years I have not had one of my kids there!

Hurricane Irene was bearing down on us as we moved Meg into college this morning!
We were driving home between the belts of downpours and clear weather! 
Home safe and sound now!
