365 project day 4/29

In honor of Anthony's birthday, here is a photo (an old photo) of his dock on the lake. A sweet reminder that summer is just around the corner. If you look closely, you will see me in the reflection taking the shot.

365 project day 4/28

I just think this card is great. My husband would never say that to me - I think he gets a kick out of all my hobbies and passions; photography, scrapbooking, art, quilting...

365 project day 4/27

Just finished "Yankee Puzzle" for my Sampler Quilt 3rd month. I'm one month behind - but I work better under pressure, always have, always will!!

Shapes sometimes catch my eye. I appreciate the curved trimming of these shrubs against the linear shadows of the fencing.

365 project day 4/22

OK - one last photo from my day in NYC. I have managed to conquer my fear of bridges in the past year. I was worried when my friends decided to walk to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge. One side is for walkers, one for bikers. It was actually not hard to do. Well, after having accomplished this hurdle, I just had to snap a picture of the zooming cars below me. See, photography is not only fun, it's therapy!

365 project day 4/20

Took the train in the NYC to go knock-off shopping in Chinatown. Afterwards we walked and walked. Here I am on the top of the Brooklyn Bridge, NYC with traffic flying by underneath. It was a beautiful day to walk up the bridge and I have to say - it was the highlight of my day in NYC.

365 project day 4/18

On the way home from Tina's, bud wanted to drive by his Mom's house that she grew up in - Prospect St., Pawtucket, RI. He told me the stories of going to his grandparent's house every weekend to get their haircuts from Granddad and mow the lawn. Heard these stories for years, but never tire of them. She was a wonderful mother-in-law to me.

365 project day 4/17

Tina and Greg have spend several years of blood, sweat and tears fixing up their cool New England house with attached barns. They have a wonderful piece of property in Southeastern MA. Thanks for a great weekend Tina!

Kathy submitted two painted fish for this auction and naturally her fish were a big hit with the crowd - in fact, one winner asked to have her picture taken with the fish!

My daughter dragged us to the track after dinner so she could practice her long jump for her meet tomorrow. It gave me a great chance to practice my panning.

365 project day 4/1

My town's schools, like many others across the country, are experiencing severe possible cutbacks and this is creating lots of animosity and bad feelings amongst its residents...
