We take photos to remember events, places, and people. So when you see an old photo that makes you smile, it takes you right back to that place and the emotion connected to it. This visual connection can also elicit other emotions such as sadness at the loss of a loved one, or excitement at the anticipation of visiting a favorite place.
Whatever the emotion, our photos are the key to keeping those memories alive.
I invite you to look through your photos and see which one pulls you right back to that place and time. I'll go first...
He took me up on an offer to stop by for a swim at the camp, and he ended up staying for a day and a half. We had time to talk, laugh, and share things we never could have during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I never imagined how many adventures my little brother had without me ever knowing. I guess that's my fault for not ever asking. Nonetheless, I look at this photo and I am grateful for the special bond that began that day.
Feel free to share a favorite photo and the story behind it with us.
