Some of my clients ask for meaningful photographs to be made into wall art. For example, this Honeymoon photo of a vineyard was printed on a piece of birch wood and it is truly an original!
Back in 2009, I posted an original photo every day for 2.5 years for a 365 photo a day challenge. The Blog has now evolved into "My Creative Life" in modern & art quilting, and photography.

Favorite photo?
Do you have a favorite photo that just makes you smile each time you look at it? Have you ever thought about why it makes you smile?
We take photos to remember events, places, and people. So when you see an old photo that makes you smile, it takes you right back to that place and the emotion connected to it. This visual connection can also elicit other emotions such as sadness at the loss of a loved one, or excitement at the anticipation of visiting a favorite place.
Whatever the emotion, our photos are the key to keeping those memories alive.
I invite you to look through your photos and see which one pulls you right back to that place and time. I'll go first...
The colorful Adirondack chairs are always there to greet me for my annual vacation in Maine. This was no different than many other mornings I sit on the dock, taking in the mist rising off the water, the loons singing, and kayakers out for a morning paddle. But when I look at this photo, I know it is the day I got to know my brother in a whole new way - adult to adult.
He took me up on an offer to stop by for a swim at the camp, and he ended up staying for a day and a half. We had time to talk, laugh, and share things we never could have during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I never imagined how many adventures my little brother had without me ever knowing. I guess that's my fault for not ever asking. Nonetheless, I look at this photo and I am grateful for the special bond that began that day.
Feel free to share a favorite photo and the story behind it with us.
