Old School Typewriter!

SCORE!!

I'd been on the hunt for a manual typewriter (cheap!) and finally found it at an Antique Store in Pawtucket, RI.  Came with a hard case and every letter works, although the "d" sticks a little. I made a photo calendar and was able to caption all the months with this vintage look I wanted!

To Market, To Market we go....

Saturday morning and I'm off to the indoor Farmer's Market. Despite the sub-zero, post snowstorm weather, there are still many die hards shopping, tasting, and just relaxing to the fiddle music at the market today. I walked away with a dozen local eggs to make my Mom's birthday cake - a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Calm before the storm.....

Here in Providence, we are expecting a pretty big storm over the next day or so.  I'm taking this time to take down the Christmas decorations and get ready to hunker down in the house.  My 54 year old gold Angel has her prominent place on the window ledge in the front hall.

I am thankful for the wonderful family that my husband Bud and I have raised. I count my blessings as we approach a new year. I am ever grateful for my health, my husband, and my faith.

Happy New Year to you all!

Our First trip to Napa Valley, CA was a success. We learned alot about red wine making and drank our fair share as well.  This photo was our first winery, Adler and Martucci. Frank Martucci was our guide and what a character he was!  Very entertaining.

Photo below is Miur Woods, the California Redwood Forest 1 hour out of San Francisco.  Beautiful, Peaceful, cool and amazing 250-350ft. tall redwoods that have been around since the Ice Age. Only known preditor is the Wind.
